Gaa President Christy Cooney has promised to put measures in place so that the hurling row that has developed in Clare will not take place again.
The Corkman was speaking ahead of a crucial weekend for the county with players and management meeting for the first time after a series of scheduled discussions were cancelled over the past number of weeks.
