St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay vs Rathgormack – The Build Up

St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay begin their Munster championship campaign today as they take on Waterford’s Rathgormack.

The winners of the quarter-final in Hennessy Park will meet Tipperary’s Clonmel Commericals next week.

The Clare champions were provincial finalists last year going down to Kerry’s Dr. Crokes in the decider.

They must win two games to reach the same stage this time starting with the Deise visitors.

Throw-in at Hennessy Park, Miltown Malbay is 1.30pm and we’ll have live coverage here on Clare FM in association with Jones’s Supervalu Milltown Malbay.

It’s St. Joseph’s first game since their county final replay win over Kilmurry Ibrickane, a close-fought four point win which David O’Brien admits was far from their best performance.

The Clare side are seen as favourites by many pundits, and their captain Gordon Kelly is looking forward to the occasion.
