Sixmilebridge have crashed out of the Munster senior hurling championship after a decisive 12 point defeat from Waterford’s Ballygunner.
The defending champions beat the Clare outfit by 1-21 to 12 points on Sixmilebridge’s home turf of O’Garney Park this afternoon.
The Deise men led by 1-13 to six points at the halfway mark, helped by a goal from Dessie Hutchinson.

Despite having the advantage of a strong second half wind, the Bridge failed to make an impact on the scoreboard.
Ballygunner will now progress to the semi-finals to face Limerick’s Patrickswell next weekend.
