No Details On Audited Accounts For Hurling Supporters Club Says GAA Chair

The chairman of Clare GAA has told club delegates that no questions will be fielded by the board in relation to the details of audited accounts for the 2012-2016 Hurling Supporters Club.

Jack Chaplin made the comments at the outset of last nights May county board meeting, which had to be adjourned after technical difficulties during the virtual gathering.

The Cratloe man was responding to a query from Eire Og delegate Rory Hickey at the April meeting, with Chaplin outlining that Croke Park advice was that county boards don’t deal with supporters club matters.

A previous query from Kilmaley delegate Niall Romer in relation to the details of the county secretaries contract also went unanswered, with Chaplin stating that no written communication had been received on the matter so it would not be dealt with.
