Galvin: 1B helped Banner come in under the radar

2013 All Star Colm Galvin says they've been aided by their run from Division 1B in reaching Sunday's National Hurling League Final.

The Banner are unbeaten so far this season, and face Waterford in Thurles as they bid to claim a first National League title in 38 years.

David McInerney, John Conlon and Conor Ryan have all been ruled out, while Paul Flanagan is also doubtful.

Tony Kelly and Peter Duggan could return from injury, while a late fitness is expected to be carried out on Shane O'Donnell.

Galvin says their winning run has brought great confidence.

Meanwhile double All Ireland winner Jamesie O'Connor is backing Clare to come out on top on Sunday.

The Doora Barefield club man feels the Banner are well equipped to deal with the Waterford game plan.

Throw in at Semple Stadium Thurles on Sunday is at 3.30pm, live commentary here on Clare FM in association with Matt Waters Clare Fruit & Veg Market and Donie O'Keefe Champion Meats Turnpike Road Ennis.
