Former Clare hurling boss Ger Loughnane has hit out at the Clare County Board chairman.
Loughnane says the position of Michael McDonagh is "completely and utterly untenable" and that his actions, in supporting current Clare boss Davy Fitzgerald, has created division amongst the players.

Loughnane has also told the Clare Champion that he backs calls for there to be a review of Clare hurling.
When asked if he would chair it, as was suggested by Brian Lohan, the Feakle man did not discount the possibillity but said it should only be carried out by people who have the interests of Clare hurling at heart, and if there were a guarantee that their recommendations were followed-up on.
