Irish man Rob Heffernan is now a World Champion.
The Cork Man has just claimed Gold at the 50 kilometre walk at the World Championships in Moscow.

He lead throughout the latter half of the race in hot conditions -which he completed in a time of 3 hours, 37 minutes and 56 seconds.
Heffernan is Ireland’s first World Athletics Champion since 1995.
