Leinster will face a tough test if they’re to retain their Heineken Cup title for a second time after being drawn in the same pool as French giants, Clermont Auvergne.
In a repeat of this season’s nail-biting semi-final in Bordeaux, the two sides will go head-to-head in Pool 5 alongside the Scarlets and Exeter Chiefs.
Munster have also been given a difficult draw as they must face this year’s beaten semi-finalsts, Edinburgh, along with Saracens and Racing Metro in Pool 1.
Connacht are in Pool 3 along with Biarritz, Harlequins and newly-formed Italian franchise, Zebre.
Ulster are in Pool 4 alongside the Northampton Saints, Glasgow Warriors and Castres.
Meanwhile, the Ireland under-20s have beaten Italy by 41 points to 12 in their clash at the IRB Junior World Championships in South Africa.
