Investigation Into Malky MacKay

A dossier sent to the FA as part of an investigation into transfers at Cardiff could ruin Malky Mackays chances of ever managing again.

The Scot had been linked with Crystal Palace but the Londoners have cooled their interest after it emerged the FA were investigating Mackay and his former Head of recruitment at Cardiff Ian Moody.

The Daly Mail is reporting that among the evidence are several homophobic , racist and sexist texts between Mackay and Moody.

Meanwhile, in local soccer, details have been announced of the first weekend's fixtures in the Clare and District Soccer League.

Action kicks off on Saturday evening when Corofin Harps entertain last year's runners-up Avenue United.

The on Sunday morning, Ennis Town begin the defence of their title away to Bridge Celtic.  

Tulla United entertain Bridge United, Lifford meet Newmarket Celtic and Shannon Olympic face Hermitage.

This weekend also sees action in the League Cups of the First, Second and Third Divisions.
