New Zealand have defeated Ireland by 42 points to 10 in Auckland in the first game of their three game series.
Two first half tries from Julian Savea helped the All Blacks to a 23 – 3 lead at the break, Johnny Sexton getting the only score for Ireland with a penalty on seven minutes.

Things didn’t get much better for Declan Kidney’s men in the second half. A Fergus McFadden try, converted by Sexton, proving to be their only score. New Zealand meanwhile added tries from the in form Savea, Adam Thomson and Conrad Smith.
