Ireland Maintain Winning Start in Rugby World Cup

Ireland maintained their winning start to the World Cup as they beat Romania by 44 points to 10.

Simon Zebo had a try disallowed on 15 minutes because his foot was out of bounds when he had handled the ball.

But Ireland kicked into gear and scored wo first half tries thanks to Tommy Bowe and Keith Earls. 

Joe Scmidt's side took a little longer to get going in the second period but Earls and Bowe doubled their tallies before substitute Rob Kearney crossed as soon as he entered the game. 

Chris Henry scored Ireland's final try of the bonus point victory.

Earlier, Scotland beat the USA at Elland Road by 39 points to 16.

Tim Visser, Sean Maitland, Willem Nel, Matt Scott and Duncan Weir all crossed for the Scots in the second half to hand them victory.

In the opening game of the day, Australia continued their winning start to the tournament.

They picked up a bonus-point victory in beating Uruguay 65-3 in Pool A at Villa Park in Birmingham.
