Clare’s Kayleigh McCormack took the Intermediate title at the National Championship finals at Dublin’s National Stadium last night.
The Kilfenora Champion overcame Mayo Irish international Louise Donoghue on a unanimous decision over four rounds in the final of the Women’s 60 kilo lightweight division.
She will now be promoted to the Senior Grade, joining elites like Olympic gold medalist Katie Taylor in her lightweight division.
McCormack says last nights win tops all that has come before it.
