Kilkenny wary of Clare challenge

Clare and Kilkenny are putting the finishing touches to their preparations for Sunday’s national hurling league semi final in Thurles.

Clare manager Davy Fitzgerald is set to make a number of positional and personnel changes for the clash while Brian Cody will be without Richie Hogan due to alung injury but Richie power is set to return after serving a suspension.

Kilkenny backroom man Dennis "Rackard" Cody feels the All Ireland champions will be in for a tough day :

Kilkenny have an added incentive to win on Sunday with the prospect of playing the league final at Nowlan park if they overcome Clare and Tipperary beat Cork.

Former Tipperary goalkeeper Ken Hogan told Clare FM that Kilkenny don’t hold a fear factor for Clare like other sides :
