Kilmallock and Gort ready for All Ireland Club SHC Semi Final action

There's two All Ireland Club Hurling Semi Finals down for decision this afternoon.

Cusack Park Mullingar hosts the meeting of Limerick & Munster champions Kilmallock and Ulster champions Portaferry.

The Limerick side are managed by Clarecastle and Clare legend Ger Sparrow O'Loughlin, he says no stone has been left unturned in preparing for the game

That throws in at 2pm.

O'Connor Park Tullamore is the venue for the clash of Galway champions Gort and Leinster kingpins Ballyhale Shamrocks.

Michael Finn, a member of the Gort management team, says theres an air of quiet optimism around the town ahead of the clash.

That one is also underway at 2pm

 

Elsewhere today,

Croke Park hosts a Dublin double-bill this evening. 

First up at 5, the capital's hurlers take on Galway in the final of the Walsh Cup. 

Following that, Jim Gavin's footballers will be looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat to Cork, when Donegal visit headquarters. 

 

After last week's last minute turnaround, Down will hope to make it two wins from two in Division Two when Roscommon visit Páirc Esler this evening. 

Kildare were Down's victims last week, and they travel to Páirc Tailteann to face Meath. 

While Laois take on Cavan. 

All of tonight's football is underway at 7.
