Kilmihil Ladies on dream run

The captain of the Kilmihil ladies says they didn't think at the start of the year that their journey would end up in a Munster final.

The club was forced to disband for two years due to low playing numbers, owing to retirements and emigration.

With assistance from neighbouring club Shannon Gaels, the Kilmihil Ladies club reformed in 2014 and claimed the County Intermediate title with victory over Burren Gaels.

Rosie Currane says it would be a proud moment to claim the Munster title in their own club jersies.

The game against Kerry outfit Castleisland Desmonds is underway on Sunday in Kilmallock at 4pm.
