Kissane ‘To Join Clare Backroom Team’

It’s reported this morning that Cork All-Ireland winner Paudie Kissane has become part of the Clare backroom team for 2014.

The All-Star won three National Leagues and two Munster titles, but announced that he is to leave the Cork inter-county setup last week.

The Clyda Rovers man is now set to form part of Colm Collins’ backroom team with the Clare senior footballers.

Meanwhile, the boss of the Lissycasey footballers says he’s hopeful that his team won’t be hit by a lack of match sharpness, despite weeks of inaction.

Lissycasey meet Doonbeg in Saturday’s semi-final in Kilmihil, a full seven weeks after their last Championship outing, and while Barry Donnelly is confident his players will perform well, he admits their preparation hasn’t been ideal.
