German striker Miroslav Klose, the highest scoring player in World Cup history, has retired from international football.

The Lazio forward helped his country become world champions this summer in Brazil, and played in their win over Argentina in the final in Rio.
Klose scored 71 goals for Germany, including 16 at World Cups, one more than Brazilian Ronaldo.
