Ladies football news in busy weekend for county and club sides

The Clare U 14 Girls football team will play Limerick tom (Sat) in Bruff at 2p.m. in the 2nd round of the Munster B Championship. 

On Sunday the Senior team will play Wexford in Enniscorthy in the 5th round of the Bord Gais Energy National League at 2.30p.m.

 
Meanwhile at local the Div. 3 league gets underway this weekend.  Doonbeg for the first time in a number of years will field their own adult team and on Saturday they host Eire Og at Shanahan McNamara Park at 6.30p.m.  On Sunday Kilrush entertain West Clare Gaels at 12 noon while newly established Parteen have a home venue against Banner Ladies.  Details of this game have yet to be confirmed.  The Clarecastle v Doora Barefield fixture has been deferred while Shannon Gaels and Meelick have a free weekend. 
 
Round 1 of the U 16 championship is also scheduled for this weekend as are the first round of the new U 12 Regional Championships.  Club P.R.O.s are reminded to forward results to Co. P.R.O.s and the Fixtures Secretary.
 
Annual Congress also takes place this weekend in Limerick and a number of motions will be debated and put to the floor.  These include a motion from Wexford to have the "Sin Bin" introduced at U 12 level while a motion from Central Council Management to change the format of U 12 to "GO Games"
