The Laois manager has said his side will do all they can to spoil Clare’s march into the National Hurling League Division 2 final when the sides meet this Saturday.
Laois lost to Down on Sunday, effectively ending their chances of promotion, and while Brendan Fennelly knows it will be tough to rebound from that defeat, he has vowed to give Ger O’Loughlin’s Clare side a strong battle.
Clare have had two big wins already in this league campaign against Kerry and Down, but even though their motivation for Saturday’s clash may have been dampened, Fennelly says he expects a close game.
