A Liverpool game in the Champions league is being investigated as part of the latest match fixing probe.
Yesterday Europol announced that 680 matches world wide were being investigated including a game in England which is being reported to be a Reds game with a Hungarian side.
The Merseysiders opponents are being investigated as the goalkeeper who played that night was banned for two years after failing to report that he was approached by a criminal group ahead of their tie with Fiorentina that season.
It’s also alleged he received a payment to conceded more than two goals in the game which he didn’t do as the game ended 1-0.
There is no suggestion of wrong doing from Liverpool
