Liverpool to decide on appeal to Suaraz ban

Liverpool are considering whether or not to appeal an 8 game ban for Luis Suarez after he was found guilty of racist abuse of Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

The clubs says they find it extraordinary that the attacker can be found guilty on the word of Patrice Evra alone when no-one else on the field of play – including Evra’s team-mates and all the match officials – heard the alleged conversation between the two players in a crowded Kop goalmouth.

Suarez will be available for the Reds game away to Wigan in the Premier league tonight as the club have 14 days to appeal the ban and 48 thousand euro fine.

In the evenings other action Aston Villa play Arsenal, Everton meet Swansea, Fulham face second placed Manchester United, leaders Manchester City host Stoke, Newcastle take on West Brom and QPR meet Sunderland.
