Lohan: Cratloe ‘Deserved’ County Title

A Clare hurling legend has paid tribute to the 2014 Clare Senior Hurling Champions Cratloe.

Brian Lohan, an All-Ireland winner with Clare in 1995 and 1997, is part of Joe McGrath's backroom team that beat Crusheen in Sunday's final.

The four time All Star full back says they deserve the title after their performances in 2014.

Elsewhere, Cork's dual star Aidan Walsh admits he WILL have to pick hurling or football next year at inter-county level.

The Kanturk player says being a dual inter county player is something he has no intention of doing again next year or for the rest of his career.

The Irish Examiner reports that the Kilkenny county board will appeal against any proposed punishment against their manager Brian Cody for remarks made about All Ireland final referee Barry Kelly.

Cody called Kelly's decision against Brian Hogan in the first game "criminal"  and although the county board has yet to receive communication from the C.C.C.C it's believed they will defend their boss should a sanction be placed on him.
