Lohan Focused On Continuing To Work Hard For Remainder Of National Hurling League

Clare hurling boss Brian Lohan admits that losing an eight point lead in the closing stages of their National League loss to Wexford is a concern for his squad.

The dismissal of Liam Corry to a straight red card with 15 minutes to go sparked a shift in momentum that saw goals from Simon Donohue and Lee Chin help Davy Fitzgerald’s side to 2-19 to 1-21 win.

The defeat means that Clare are now out of contention for topping the Division 1B standings, with games against Laois, Dublin and Kilkenny remaining in the campaign.

Lohan says they just have to focus on continuing to work hard as the countdown to the championship continues.

Meanwhile Lohan also confirmed the injury which forced Tony Kelly’s early exit from the game was a dead leg, but it remains to be seen if the 2020 All Star will be called on for next weekend’s trip to Laois.
