Clare boss Brian Lohan feels there is always a sense of uncertainty in the lead up to championship openers regardless of league form.
The Banner are unbeaten in their last three games ahead of Sunday’s provincial showdown with Waterford, with Lohan set to name his team for that game tonight.
Clare recovered from a slow start to 2021 to record three successive wins over Laois, Dublin and Kilkenny, with Waterford winning two of their final three league encounters.
Lohan says while the squad have done everything that has been asked of them, no one will know where they stand until that first whistle blows.
