A Colin Lynch inspired Kilmaley have gained their first championship points of 2009 after they overcame Crusheen in the senior county hurling championship last evening by a point, 2-11 to 2-10.
Crusheen went in at the break 2-07 to 1-05 ahead thanks to a brace of goals from wing forward Fergus Kenneddy.
However,it was a turn and pass from Colin Lynch to corner forward Padriag Talty in the 20th minute of the second half that gave the victors the edge in the dying stages,a lead which they never relinquished.
