Arsenal were 4-0 winners at Wigan – who are now bottom after Blackburn beat Swansea 4-2.
QPR and West Brom drew 1-1.
In the Scottish Premier League, Rangers beat Dunfermline 2-1.
There were also wins for St Johnstone, Kilmarnock and Inverness.
