Valencia beat Bursaspor 6-1 in the groups other game.
Spurs booked their place in the knock-out stages with a 3-0 at home to Werder Bremen.
Younes Kaboul, Luca Modric and Peter Crouch were all on target.
Defending champions Inter Milan were 1-0 winners over FC Twente in the groups other match.
Elsewhere Schalke won 3-0 at home to Lyon in Group B but Lyon still qualify after Benfica lost 3-0 to Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel.
In Group D Barcelona claimed top-spot with a 3-0 win over Panathinakos in Greece.
Meanwhile Rubin Kazan beat FC Copenhagen by a goal to nil in Russia.
