Man U two clear at top of league

Manchester United are two points clear at the top of the Premier League table after Chelsea were held to a 1-all draw at Newcastle yesterday. Andy Carroll gave the Magpies an early lead, before a Saloman Kalou goal just before half-time secured a point for the Londerers.

Aaron Lennon scored an injury time winner to give Tottenham a 2-1 victory over Liverpool also in the Premier League yesterday. Martin Skrtel put Liverpool ahead just before half-time, before he scored a second-half own-goal to put Spurs level. Jermaine Defoe missed a penalty, before Lennon’s winner deep into injury time.
