The adoption or rejection of the master fixtures plan for 2013 will be decided at a special Clare county board meeting later tonight.
The plan proposes that the county senior hurling championship begin mid May while the county football championship begin on the August bank Holiday weekend.
The meeting begins at 8pm in the West County Hotel.
