Mayo into All Ireland final

Mayo have beaten Dublin by 19 points to 16 at Croke Park to advance to the All Ireland final.

The Connacht champions led last years All Ireland champions by 12 points to 6 at half time and extended their lead to 10 points with just 20 minutes left.

The Dubs rallied late on and even closed the gap to two points before Seamus O’Shea made sure of it for James Horan’s men.

Cillian O’Connor ended the day with 7 points for Mayo while Bernard Brogan kicked 6 points for the Dubs.

Alan Brogan didn’t start for the Dubs but came on at the start of the second half.

However he only last 17 minutes before he had to come off.

Mayo will now play Donegal in the final on the 23rd of September.

The Dublin minors will be in Croke Park that day after a 3-12 to 1-10 win over Kerry in todays curtain raiser.

Dessie Farrell’s side will play Meath in the decider in a repeat of this years Leinster final.
