Clare football manager Micheál McDermott has issued a warning to the county’s younger players as to the sacrifices needed to make it at inter-county level.
McDermott was speaking in the aftermath of Saturday’s All Ireland Qualifer defeat to Down in Ennis which saw Clare lose to the Ulster outfit by a single point.
The Cavan native feels his players need to be aware of what being a county footballer entails.
