McGrath: Cratloe were determined to produce a performance

Since then, the Cratloe outfit were beaten in two finals and McGrath says they were determined to make amends.

Cratloe captain Liam Markham followed in the footsteps of Barry Duggan in captaining the side to hurling glory.

He says the team answered a lot of questions with yesterdays success

For Crusheen, their second defeat in a county hurling final represented a disappointing day.

Manager John Carmody says while his side have had a positive 2014, but admits they didn't deliver a performance yesterday.

Cratloe now set their sights on next weekend's county senior football final against Eire Óg, with the prospect of a historic double in store.

The next outing for their hurlers will be against Waterford champions Ballygunner in the Munster Club Hurling Quarter Final.

That game will be played in Waterford on the weekend of October 26th.
