A number of side that lined out in Saturdays win over Wexford will be overage for the grade in 2015, including captain Tony Kelly, Colm Galvin and Seadna Morey among others.

Moloney, who says he and fellow joint manager Gerry O'Connor haven't discussed their future with the county U21 side, feels next years panel will be out to prove themselves.

Meanwhile Clare captain Tony Kelly said it was crucial that Clare didn't panic when Wexford started to come back into the game.

Two goals from David Dunne and one from Conor McDonald saw Wexford within three points of the Banner in the closing stages, but points from Kelly and Colm Galvin kept Clare at arms length.

Kelly, who became the second Ballyea man in row to lift the Cross of Cashel, said the management deserve great credit for the faith they show in the squad.

The leadership qualities displayed by both Tony Kelly and Colm Galvin in the last few minutes of Saturdays All Ireland win have been praised by centre back Conor Cleary.

The Miltown Malbay man was picking up his second All Ireland medal at the grade, having been part of the squad that beat Antrim in last years decider.

He said both Galvin and Kelly got the important scores at a crucial time in the game.
