Mullane believes Tony Kelly – key Clare player in Waterford clash

Waterford  hurling legend John Mullane has earmarked Tony Kelly as Clare’s key player in Sunday’s Munster Championship clash between the counties.

Mullane will not line out for the Deise at Semple Stadium this Sunday, having announced his retirement earlier this year, and admits he is worried about his county’s chances against his old manager Davy Fitzgerald.

In an interview to be broadcast on Clare FM’s Sideline View this evening, the five-time All Star also outlined how he feels Ballyea’s Tony Kelly could be the difference maker for the Banner.

The Clare management team, however, say they’re not underestimating the challenge posed by Waterford.

Selector Mike Deegan says Clare will have to produce a strong performance if they’re to secure the win at Semple this Sunday.

Clare Fm’s live coverage  this Sunday  is   brought to you   in association with Clare Fruit n Veg market and Donie O Keefe Champion meats Turnpike road, Ennis.
