Waterford hurling legend John Mullane has retired from inter-county hurling.
After 13 years playing for the Deise the star forward says that he believes the time is right to bring the curtain down on his Waterford career.

The De La Salle clubman met with senior manager Michael Ryan during the week to discuss his decision, with the Waterford management expected to release a statement later tonight.
The 31-year-old helped Waterford to four Munster titles and one National League, while he also won five All Star awards.
Mullane says that he intends to continue playing for De La Salle, with whom he has three county championships.
