Newmarket Celtic are preparing to break new ground this weekend by facing League of Ireland opposition in the country’s top cup competition.
The Clare champions face Division One outfit Cabinteely at the county grounds, Frank Healy Park, on Saturday from 6 o’clock.
Cabinteely lie in seventh position in the First Division, and have lost each of their last two games, but for Newmarket this will be their first competitive outing of the new season.
