O Dwyer impressed by KIB action despite Munster defeat.

Kilmurray Ibrickane’s dreams of Munster glory are over for another year after a heartbreaking 2-8 to 0-13 defeat  to Dr Crokes in the Munster club q-final in Quilty.

The Clare champions trailed by 1-4 to 0-05 at the break-having conceded an early goal to Colm "Gooch" Cooper

They fell further behind when Brian Looney scored the Killarney sides second midway through the second half before the home side staged a remarkable fightback but simply ran out of time to force extra time.

Manager John Kennedy praised his side’s fighting spirit.

New Clare football manager Mick O Dwyer was one of the interested spectators in Quilty on Sunday and speaking to Clare FM was impressed by his first taste of action in the Banner county :
