A former team mate of Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald says he's glad the Sixmilebridge man is staying at the helm of the county side.

Following the Banner's loss to Wexford, Fitzgerald said he had the option of three more years in charge, and would be taking some time to consider his options.
