A former International Rules star feels improvements are needed in Clare club football if the current development of the county squad is to be maintained.
The Banner get the new season underway on Saturday with a McGrath Cup tie against Waterford in Meelick, with a number of new players expected to see action in the pre season competition.
The county squad has made huge progress under Colm Collins since he took over in 2014, coming from Division Four of the National League to reach Division Two while also producing strong championship performances.
