O’Dwyer pleased with Clare performance despite McGrath cup exit

Clare are out of the McGrath Cup after an extra time 2-16 to 2-13 loss to Limerick on Sunday.

Clare appeared set for victory when leading by five points entering the final five minutes of normal time in Foynes  before Seamus O Carroll’s goal sent the game to another 20 minutes with the sides deadlocked at 2-10 each.

Clare had led by 1-7 to 0-6 at the break with Clondegad’s Podge Mc Mahon getting both of the visitors goals.

Also in the McGrath cup
Kerry beat UCC by 2-12 to 10 points, Tipperary got the better of Cork by 2-9 to 1-9 and  Waterford overcame UL after extra time by 0-16 to 0-12.
