Clare senior hurling manager Ger O’Loughlin has slammed the performance of referee Eamon Hassen during Clare’s one point win over Antrim in Casement park.
The visitors were made to work hard for their victory as they ended the game with 14 men following James McInerney’s second half dismissal for two yellow cards with O’Loughlin confronting the Derry official after the full time whistle.
The Banner boss told Clare FM Hassan was affectively a 16th man for the home side:
The win puts Clare back in the hunt for a place in the league final after last week’s disappointing loss to Limerick.
The former All Ireland winner also felt the win was important but that there was room for serious improvement
Despite the win Clare are second from bottom in Division two on points difference while Limerick are top after their victory over Westmeath on Saturday.
