Clare senior hurling manager Ger O’Loughlin has sounded a warning to his players that they will need to improve their performances if they are to stay involved with the county side.
The Clare boss was speaking in the aftermath of the county’s Waterford crystal win over I T Tralee in Sixmilebridge by 1-19 to 2-13.
The win sets up a meeting with LIT in next week’s q-final but the former All Ireland winners says some players will need to improve or face the prospect of not playing again.
Meanwhile the Clare senior footballers booked their place in the semi finals of the McGrath cup after a 10 points to nine win over CIT in Cooraclare.
The victory means they will now play Waterford in the competitions semi finals next weekend.
