Avenue United Manager John O’Malley says his side were at a loss when it came to experience and that bit of luck needed on the day.
Clonmel Celtic took the Munster champions League honours with a 2-1 win yesterday on their home ground Celtic Park.
The hosts went ahead in the second half, but Avenue responded almost immediately to level matters through Mark Roche, and the action was forced to extra time during which Clonmel secured the winner.
The Tipperary outfit went down to 10 men early in the first half but Avenue Manager O’Malley says it was the second half before his side really dominated.
