The FAI is expected to confirm Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane as the new management team for the Republic of Ireland today.
Further talks were held between the FAI and O’Neill last night over the particulars of the Derryman’s contract.

The 61 year old is expected to appoint his own backroom team, with the combined package set to cost the FAI more than €2m a year.
Keane will come on board as assistant manager, with Steve Walford, Steve Guppy and Seamus McDonagh joining the coaching set up too.
O’Neill and Keane are in Spain this evening to cover Manchester United’s Champions League tie away to Real Sociedad for television.
In the same competition, Manchester City are at home to CSKA Moscow in Group D.
