Everton manager Roberto Martinez has played down the decision by Kevin Mirallas to step up for a penalty instead of regular taker Leighton Baines.
He missed it – and his side drew 0-0 with West Brom to extend their winless run in the Premier League to six matches.

Mirallas appeared to deny Baines the chance to take the spot-kick, and didn't reappear for the second half.
Tonight, Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard should return from a hamstring strain for the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final with Chelsea at Anfield.
