Pulis in Talks Over West Brom Position

West Brom are in talks with Tony Pulis over their vacant managerial position.

The Baggies sacked Alan Irvine last night following a run of seven defeats in nine Premier League games.

Pulis is said to want full control over transfers, something he was denied at his previous job at Crystal Palace.

Fabricio Coloccini  is not in the running to replace Alan Pardew as Newcastle manager.

The club captain emerged as a surprise candidate last night.

The Magpies have given Pardew permission to speak to Crystal Palace about their managerial vacancy, after the two clubs agreed a compensation package.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that Tim Howard could be out of action for up to six weeks with a calf injury.

The goalkeeper picked up the knock in the Stephen's Day defeat to Stoke.

Joel Robles is expected to continue in goal for the Toffees when they travel to Hull on New Year's Day.

Barcelona will be unable to make any signings in 2015 after the Court of Arbitration for Sport upheld their transfer ban.

The Catalan club were sanctioned by FIFA for signing underage players from outside of Spain.

Barcelona appealed the original decision, with the delay allowing them to sign the likes of Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic.

But CAS have found no reason for the ban to be overturned, and Barcelona must now wait until the January 2016 transfer window before they can add to their squad again.
