Pyne Heaps Praise On Lissycasey Forwards Ahead Of SFC Semi-Finals

Lissycasey’s Manager has heaped praise on his forwards after the West Clare side booked their place in the Senior Football Championship semi-finals.

The 2007 champions saw off Kilmihil with a 1-14 to 2-7 victory in Kilrush at the weekend, joining St Breckan’s and Kilmurry-Ibrickane in the last four.

The final place in the last four will be decided after a series of playoff games involving St Joseph’s Miltown Malbay, Cooraclare and the eventual winner of the postponed match between Cratloe and Clondegad.

As his side await the semi final draw, David Pyne says he was very pleased his forwards had their shooting boots on in their quarter final encounter.

Kilmurry-Ibrickane and St Breckans will join Lisseycasey in the last four, along with the winners of the playoff stage – the draw for which was made last night.

The winners of Cratloe’s postponed match with Clondegad have received a bye, and they will face the winner of St Joseph’s Milltown Malbay and Cooraclare to complete the semi final line up.

At Senior B level, the loser of that game will face Ennistymon, with the other semi final pitting Kilmihil against Éire Og Ennis.
