Quinn and Griffin could return to Clare Hurling

New Clare hurling manager Ger O’Loughlin has invited Tony Griffin and Gerry Quinn into his panel.

Griffin, who surprisingly announced his inter-county retirement at the age of 28, has been asked to reconsider his position.

He revealed he was quitting the county scene at the height of the players’ dispute with previous manager Mike McNamara, but it’s reported O’Loughlin is hopeful he may return.

Gerry Quinn, who was controversially dropped from the panel last summer by McNamara, is also expected to return to the new Banner set-up.

Ger Sparrow O’Loughlin’s new line up is set to include Liam Doyle and Danny Chaplin as selectors with Fiach O’Loughlin to take responsibility for the Clare Senior Hurling team’s physical preparation
