Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has stood by his decision to pick a much changed team for their Champions League defeat at Real Madrid.
They lost 1-0 to the European title holders.

Rodgers dropped captain Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling, in two of seven changes to the side which lost to Newcastle in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Liverpool boss has hinted he made the alterations based on their performance in that game.
