Newmarket boss Tomás Ryan says while it’s disappointing not to reach this years Clare senior hurling final, he feels progress has been made with the squad in 2021.
The Blues lost out to Ballyea by a single point in their semi final tie, with a late Colin Ryan free just drifting wide as extra time looked on the cards.
It was their first appearance in the last four since 2017, while this year saw them finish top of the Division 1B standings in the Clare Cup.

Ryan says his players could not be faulted for the effort they put in.
